Since the Vantage 2.0 launch in February, the community has been busy putting the new features to work on the water, and bringing home results. Find out how our top users have been using Vantage to make improvements, how to integrate your Cyclops Marine load sensor data in Vantage, what's new on our website and more. Here's the update.
A spring to remember
Vantage sailors have been competing at the highest level, and winning. We couldn't be more proud of what this community has achieved on the water, and we want to take a moment to celebrate that before getting into everything else.

At the Waszp Games in March in Pensacola, Vantage ambassador Pearl Lattanzi (USA) won the women's title. Gavin Ball (USA) took the men's championship, and Martinius Hopstock (Norway) won the 7.5 title. All three are Vantage users.
At the Trofeo Princess Sofia in Palma, Vantage ambassador and 49er sailor, Richard Schultheis (GER) took the top step of the podium. Also in Palma, Alessandra Dubbini (ITA) who has been with us since beta testing, finished 5th, fresh off winning silver just a few weeks earlier at the 470 Europeans in Vilamoura.
Earlier in the season, the Flying Jenny / Sandy Askew team won the Melges 24 Bacardi Winter Series Event No. 2 in Miami, using Vantage 2.0 to work on boat symmetry tack to tack.
Just last week at the 49er and 49erFX World Championships in Quiberon, Pia Dahl Andersen / Nora Edland (NOR) won the 49erFX title and Seb Menzies / George Lee Rush (NZL) took the 49er crown. Both crews are Vantage users who have been with us since beta testing.
Congratulations from the Vantage team, we're so proud of you all.
It's been a busy few months on the water and the data has been central throughout. Here's what some of our sailors and coaches have been saying.

What sailors and coaches are saying
With numbers, Vantage explained which hull was faster in specific conditions — especially in waves. In our debrief, we analyse downwind VMG, wave crossing, and heel, alongside video.
Vantage 2.0 has helped us validate what we're seeing on the water. We've been working on symmetry tack-to-tack, and the data backs it up. The ability to remove bad data and analyse tuning runs gives us much more meaningful feedback
We're getting deeper insight across classes — from kitefoil at 40 knots to ILCA. Heel and speed stability in particular have been very strong in the latest update.
2,000 sailors and counting
We are so excited to have surpassed 2,000 Vantage users towards the end of March. Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey from the start, and welcome to everyone who has joined since 2.0.
Third Party Sensor Support: Now Integrated
As one of our most requested features, you can now upload third party files, ranging from wind sensor files, Cyclops Load Cell data, and sail shape files from Sailemetry. This is one of our most exciting features yet, increasing the amount and type of data sensors/metrics available to analyze.
Simply go to your Activity Settings -> Add External Data -> Upload File. From there the data is merged with your activity and available in the Speed Analysis and the Replay. For wind data, this is seamlessly replaces your Vantage Wind Algorithm data and is used to calculate your CWA, VMG, and TWA.
If you're having trouble uploading a sensor file, let us know. Support depends on the file type and structure, and we're adding new formats all the time.

What's new in the app
New class polars
We've updated polars for 19 classes: 29er, A Class, C420, Cape 31, Etchells, F18, FJ, J70, Kite Foil, Melges 15, Melges 24, Moth, Nacra 15, Nacra 17, Switch 8.5, VX One, Waszp, and Wing Foil. This improves wind direction accuracy across all of these classes.
Better handling of low-frequency GPS data
We've improved how Vantage processes low-frequency GPS data, especially for Garmin auto uploads. Your data will now be far more comparable to high-frequency devices. A meaningful fix if you're mixing device types across a fleet.
A new look with deeper analysis: coming this fall
This summer marks the beginning of an exciting phase for Vantage. A major frontend redesign is underway, bringing with it significantly improved analysis features that we can't wait to share with you.
New website and user guide
We've launched our new website with an extensive user guide, covering how data is processed, logging best practices, and tips for getting the most out of your sessions. It's worth a read whether you're new or have been with us since the beginning.
As always, keep the feedback coming. More to come in the next few months.
