October took us to Cagliari, where both the Formula Wing World Championships and the 49er & 49erFX and Nacra 17 Worlds saw Vantage in action, from high-speed wingfoil racing to Olympic-class sailing.
And behind the scenes, we've just released one of our most exciting updates yet.

How Wingfoil racers are using Vantage
The Formula Wing Worlds brought together the best riders in the sport and Vantage users were leading the charge. The wingfoil racing community has quickly become our largest and most consistent user base, using Vantage every day to test equipment, analyze VMG, and streamline debriefs after training and competition.

Here’s what some of them had to say:
Francesco Cappuzzo - Vice World Champion
“Vantage helped me to track every single session to make the right choice on gear to register for the Worlds and make the right decision at the right time while choosing size to use. Then it helped me to really check my performance in different conditions, thanks to the possibility of tracking and categorising by wind speed.”
Anais Mai Desjardins - 6th at Worlds
“Vantage Sailing has truly been a game changer for me. I used to spend hours analysing my GPS tracks with other software, and it was so time-consuming that I eventually stopped doing it. With Vantage, everything is instant. It automatically extracts and highlights all the key data. I use it every session to analyse my VMG, work on my modes, test my equipment, and compare my performance with my training partner. I honestly can’t imagine my debriefs without it anymore. Special mention to the feature that tracks how many hours I’ve spent on each piece of equipment (wings, foils, boards) - it’s super useful to monitor gear usage!”
JP Lattanzi - 12th at Worlds
“It was a game changer for my Worlds prep. We were limited to just two wing sizes, so I used Vantage to track sessions and find the wind strength crossovers. The data helped me fine-tune my gear and technique, and made my training way more focused.”
Vantage joins the Olympic classes in Cagliari
Just a few weeks later, Vantage was also in use at the 49er & 49erFX and Nacra 17 Worlds, supporting top sailing teams as they refined gear setups and performance data. These athletes are using Vantage to log equipment, analyze sessions, and gain long-term insights across their training cycles.
In the lead-up to the event, our CEO Nicolai Jacobsen joined Pia Dahl Andersen and Nora Edland (49erFX sailors) for a session in Cagliari, guiding them through how to get the most from their data with Vantage. Seeing Vantage in use with top athletes helps us continue refining the platform around real performance needs.
Richard Schultheis - 10th at Worlds
"It’s been great for logging equipment and being able to have an overview of your equipment after lots of time on it. And overall it’s been a great tool to quickly extract some information for the sailing, but also have a big picture.I’ve been using Vantage for a couple of months now and it’s been an awesome tool to help in the 49er. It’s great to be able to gather all your data and review it quickly after sailing.”
A huge congratulations to all Vantage sailors and riders who competed in Cagliari!
Whether on foils or skiffs, your dedication and drive continue to inspire us. We’re proud to see Vantage helping athletes at the top of their game make smarter decisions, train with purpose, and perform their best when it counts.
